After a successful Kickstarter campaign more than the Pebble Steel Time arrives for pre-order for all, including those who have not backé the project. Something for the laggards who are not awake at the time.
The history of the Pebble Time is rather impressive. This second generation of connected watch with e-Paper display has been proposed on the crowdfunding site Kickstarter, where she met a huge success. In just minutes, the desired goal of $ 500 000 was already reached and after a week, the smartwatch exceeded the fundraising record a Kickstarter project. Pebble rapidly declined his watch in version “Steel”, equipped with a metal dial, as its name suggests. Good news for those who missed the opportunity to reserve them in fundraising, a second chance is now possible.
On his blog, the US start-up has indeed to announce the launch of pre-orders for the Pebble Time Steel. To do this, simply go to the official website and pay the sum of 299.99 euros. Currently considered “out of stock”, the smartwatch will be shipped as soon as possible, without additional shipping costs. The basic version, proposed in turn to 249.99 euros, for its part is already available and shipped the day after the order (if it is a working day of course).
Testing the Pebble Time
At the same time, shipments to persons involved in Kickstarter just started and should continue until the end of August. The first orders at the site therefore should not, logically, be accepted before that date.
Recall that the main Pebble selling point is the autonomy of his watch. Equipped with an e-paper screen, not LCD, it can take between 7 and 10 days between charges. A feat that other smartwatchs fail to meet for the moment …
