The Pixel C should soon see its touchscreen problems soar

Google has sent the American site AnandTech C tablet with a Pixel new firmware. The latter seems to correct the major problems of the tablet, namely a lack of responsiveness of the touchscreen and some crashes.

We enjoyed the Pixel C, the new tablet designed by Google during its test. However, it seems that the shelves of manufacturing quality varied enormously from one device to another. One of the most common problems encountered by users concerned the touch screen of the device. As shown in the video below, the pixel C “lost” sometimes the finger of the user and tended not to take into account slippage. What was particularly frustrating for a unit sold nearly 500 euros in its basic version.

With the old firmware

Google seems to have taken note of the various bugs related to the tablet and preparing to upload a software update to correct them. AnandTech, who could try this update in advance, noted that the main problems with the touchscreen flew. It also notes that many application crashes disappeared and the color temperature has been slightly improved. Yet she was excellent at the base, this change should go unnoticed for the majority of its users.

With the update

AnandTech is not known when this update will be deployed. The fact that Google communicates and sends it to a journalist demonstrates its output should however delay.
