Nvidia prepares the arrival of Android 5.1 Lollipop on the Shield Tablet but also the Shield Portable. Great surprise for owners of the portable console, which is still under 4.4 KitKat.
On Geforce forums, Nvidia employees come to reassure customers in possession of a Shield Shield Tablet or Laptop. The Shield Tablet was one of the first devices to experience the joys of Lollipop last November. This is however not the case of Shield Portable, which is still “blocked” Android 4.4 KitKat for over a year with the arrival of the update in March 2014. Very good news since the handheld console Nvidia will finally receive Android Lollipop, but directly version 5.1 of the Google OS. Nvidia says that the wait should not be too long.
The Shield Tablet is not forgotten, puisqu’Android 5.1 Lollipop is expected to soon land on the tablet gaming with its Tegra K1. This update should fix performance reasons encountered since the transition to Lollipop. The OS should be smoother after this update. This would occur in the coming weeks, without elaborating from Nvidia.
Nvidia therefore achieves tracking its very valuable products for brand clients. Moreover, the games catalog from its Grid Service (which we tested last year) continues to grow because since our last point in January, many games have appeared on the game streaming platform PC: Lego Harry Potter, PixelJunk Shooter, Pushin’40, Giana Sisters, Devil May Cry 4, Risen 2: Dark Waters and Strider since last Tuesday. Every Tuesday, next week, Nvidia added a new game to its catalog: LEGO Movie Videogame tracking Dirt 3 Edition on 5 May.

Not to mention the ability to play any PC game with GameStream feature if you have a PC. Moreover, for the most curious, the last GTA V is already compatible, but with a somewhat chaotic management of the joystick.
